Speck in your friend's eye

We tend to see the faults of others more often than the failures in ourselves.

So who are we to judge our fellow man? Are we faultless? Have we not sinned before the eyes of the Lord? Are we worthy to cast the first stone?

The answer is, ... NO.

Romans 3.23 says:
... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
So please, before you judge me based on your negative perceptions and incomplete knowledge, judge yourselves first.

And if you find a one-sided coin anytime soon, let me know.

Sukma Mascot = RM50, Swimmer Gratitude = Priceless

I came across this post in my Facebook page recently:

I sent four swimmers from PST to represent the State of Penang in the recent Sukma Games. From the first day they attended centralized training with another coach (from China), till the day they departed for Sukma on 6th June, not one of them said "Thank You" to me for bringing them to the level that they are today

It's not that I crave gratitude, but a little less whining and less griping would be nice. Being conceited and having a swollen-head isn't nice.

We may have gone through some rough times, but we have gone through some good times too. And it's a combination of these good and bad times that has brought us all to where we are today.

Coach Peh has the right formula. His swimmers seem to love him no matter what. I hope to learn Coach Peh's formula some day.

Storm passed

A storm has just passed. There are casualties, and there are damages. But more importantly, there are survivors.

There is a rainbow overhead, with a hint of clear skies.

Now is the time to pick up the pieces, rebuild, and move on.
